The plot of the movie revolves around Dharma, a village farmer who moves to the city with his family when his village faces drought. His wife Radha gives birth to their son Raju in jail and dies soon after. Raju grows up to be a street-smart young man who resembles his father. He falls in love with Geeta, the daughter of a wealthy businessman Verma. Verma is actually the mastermind behind the murder for which Dharma was convicted. He also has a grudge against Ajit Singh and wants to destroy his business. Raju joins hands with Ajit Singh and his sons Suresh and Sujit to expose Verma and free his father from jail.
